OFFICIAL RULES: Budget Rent A Car “Flip for Budget Video” Contest

TO ENTER, YOU MUST AGREE TO THE OFFICIAL RULES BY CLICKING THE CHECKBOX WHERE INDICATED WHEN ENTERING THE CONTEST.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years of age or older. The following individuals are not eligible: employees, contractors, directors and officers of Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. ("Sponsor"), and its respective parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, distributors, web design, advertising, fulfillment, judging and Contest agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Contest (collectively, “Contest Parties") and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and spouse or “step” of each) and those living in the same households (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Contest) of each such employee, contractor, director or officer.

2. ENTRY PERIOD: Contest videos must be submitted between 12:01:00 am Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on 4/14/2008 and 11:59:59 pm EST on 6/13/2008 ("Contest Entry Period").

3. TO ENTER: Go to http://www.flipforbudget.com anytime during the Contest Entry Period and click on the “Click Here to Enter tab”, complete the registration form then upload video to submit your entry. An “Entry” is defined, for purposes of this Contest, as a completed online registration form plus a video submission.

4. CONTEST RESTRICTIONS: Entry must be Entrant’s original creation, executed solely by Entrant & may not have been published previously or won any other award. The right to submit it must not be restricted in any way. Entry cannot defame, infringe or violate publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s, entity’s or organization’s personal or proprietary rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights. Modifying, enhancing or altering a third party’s pre-existing work does not qualify as Entrant’s original creation. Entries must be in “good taste” and in keeping with Sponsor’s brand image and may not be offensive, as determined in the sole discretion of the Contest Judges or Sponsor. Sponsor’s right to use the Entry shall not be restricted. Any Entrant, whose Entry includes the name, image, voice, sound effects, music, visual effects, picture or likenesses of a third party or element not owned by the Entrant, such as, but not limited to depictions of buildings, trademarks or logos, ("Third Party Elements") must provide to Sponsor the legal releases for unrestricted use by Sponsor of all Third Party Elements in a form satisfactory to Sponsor at the time of prize notification. Entries that are incomplete or do not comply with these Official Rules in any way are subject to disqualification. No correspondence regarding Entries will be acknowledged or exchanged with Entrants except as provided herein. Upon submission of an Entry, Entrant grants Sponsor the right to use, publish, adapt, assign, edit, dispose of, and/or modify such Entry and the concepts and Third Party Elements embodied therein in any way, in commerce, in perpetuity and in any and all media worldwide, without limitation or approval by or compensation to the Entrant and Entrant may be required to sign a release to that effect. Submission of an Entry further constitutes the Entrant’s consent to irrevocably assign and transfer to the Sponsor any and all rights, title, interest and claim, which he/she now has or may have in the future, to the Entry, and the concepts and Third Party Elements embodied therein, including without limitation, the copyright therein. Such rights, title and interest shall include, but are not limited to, all intellectual property, sales, and licensing rights. Upon submission, all Entries will become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.

5. SUBMISSION FORMAT AND CONTENT REQUIREMENTS. How do you travel on a budget? Make a video that’s two minutes or less that demonstrates how you live the budget-savvy life style while on vacation or road trip! How far can you go on a dollar? Show us the great ways you get the most value on a trip and have a fabulous experience.

Your video must include some car travel and feature a Budget Rent A Car reference and logo prominently show at some point in the video.

Record your video with any device that captures video.

Every weekday between April 14, 2008 and June 13, 2008, Budget will reward a Flip Ultra Series video camera to the best video of the day. At the end of the contest a grand prize of $25,000 will be awarded to the film maker who demonstrates the best ideas for a smart, fun, budget-savvy trip! Five (5) employees from Sponsor and its affiliates ("Judges") will be choosing a daily Flip camera winner as well as a grand prize winner.

There will be an additional cash prize of $1000 given to the film maker who gets the most votes from viewers of the website.

Technical Requirements

* Video file(s) of any Entry must be less than 2 minutes in length.

* The maximum file size for any single video file uploaded to flipforbudget.com is 100 MB Video file(s) and must be in one of the following file formats: .mpg; .mp4; .mov; .flv; .avi; .wmv

* Video must include AT LEAST one reference to Sponsor, and show at least one Sponsor logo (Budget logos can be found on Budget car rental locations, Rental Jackets, Budget location signage, Budget ads, etc.)

* Subject to these Official Rules, Budget grants you permission to use the Budget logo only in connection with your Entry in the Contest and for no other purpose. You may not use the logo in violation of any applicable laws or government regulations. You acknowledge Budget’s rights in the logo, and agree that you acquire no rights in the logo through your use and shall take no action that may harm the logo or Budget’s interest in the logo.

* Videos must show a vacation, road trip, or some other travel related activity. Videos will not be accepted if there is no vacation, road trip, or other travel related activity displayed.

Additional Requirements

* Submission must be primarily in English.

* Once you complete and submit the Publish Form for a particular Entry, your Entry is final and may not be modified or edited further; however, you may modify the elements of your previous Entry(ies) and re-submit it as a new Entry, provided the new Entry is materially and substantially different than the previous Entry, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. No Entry will be returned. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, remove, delete and/or disqualify Entries deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant.

* The person uploading the Entry will be deemed the entrant ("Entrant"). In the event of dispute regarding the identity of the holder of video, dispute will be resolved in favor of the individual who the “authorized e-mail account holder” of the email provided when the was created. “Authorized email account holder” is defined as the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (i.e., business, education institution) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. If any group of individuals elects to collaborate on a Entry, they are required to designate one (1) person as the agent of the group to enter the Contest, agree to these Official Rules and accept the prize on behalf of the group. Neither Sponsor nor any of the Contest Parties shall be liable for any disputes between collaborators arising under or related to the Contest.

* Each Entry must not contain or refer to any rental car company other than Sponsor; it must not contain or reference any third party or other rental car company tradenames, logos, trademarks, copyrights, designs, likeness, and other visual or identifying representation (with the exclusion of Sponsor’s logo).

* Each Entry must not contain any copyrighted works (other than as owned by the Entrant). Any elements appearing in your Entry, including without limitation music, audio, speech/voiceovers, stills, video, supers, or other audiovisual materials used must be entirely original, created and performed by you, be in the public domain. Use of any elements, including without limitation music, audio, speech/voiceovers, video, stills, visuals, or other materials that are not original, in the public domain, may result in disqualification of Entry, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

All Entries will be reviewed for content before being published or judged; Sponsor makes the final determination as to which Entries are eligible to take part in this Contest and be considered for a Grand Prize. Certain Entries may be featured from time to time on the flipforbudget.com during the Contest Entry Period, in Sponsor’s sole discretion; being selected as a featured Entry is unrelated to the judging criteria and does not guarantee selection as a Grand Prize Winner in the Contest.

6. SELECTION OF WINNERS: All eligible Contest Entries will be posted for the public (ages 13 or older) to view at http://www.flipforbudget.com starting on 4/15/2008 at noon EST and ending on 6/13/08 at 11:59:59 pm EST.

(a) DAILY WINNERS: One “Daily Winner” will be selected each day (for 44 days) and announced before 5:00 pm (EST) the day after Entry submission by the Judges who will evaluate each eligible Entry based on the judging criteria described herein. The “Daily Winner” will be revealed on Flipforbudget.com the day after Entry submission. Entries uploaded Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be eligible for judging for the Monday prize. Videos can be voted flip-worthy at http://www.flipforbudget.com, however winner of this popular vote will not automatically win the daily prize. No prize will be awarded on May 26th, 2008 due to observance of Memorial Day.

(b) DIGG/POPULAR VOTE WINNER: Entrants have a chance to win $1,000 based on total Diggs as counted by digg.com. You must be a member of http://www.digg.com to vote for the $1,000 winner. If you are not an existing Digg TM social network user, you will be required to agree to the Digg TM Terms of Use, located at http://www.digg.com/tos, and the Digg TM Privacy Policy, located at http://www.digg.com/privacy and create a free Digg account, located at http://www.digg.com/register/, in order to vote for a video in the Contest. One (1) winner who receives the most Digg votes by the end of the contest (6/13/08 at 11:59:59 pm EST) will be awarded $1,000.

(c) GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One (1) Grand Prize winner will be chosen from ALL eligible Entries by the Judges to win $25,000. Grand Prize winner may not necessarily be chosen as a daily winner or digg winner. Grand Prize is awarded at the sole discretion of the Judges.

TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES IN CONTEST IS: $36,474.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: All Entrants must have a valid Contest ID and e-mail address. Prize winners are solely responsible for any taxes on their respective prizes, and will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the value of their prize. No substitution of prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. By participating, Entrants agree these Official Rules are final and binding in all respects. Further, by participating, Entrants agree that Contest Entries and the personal information collected from Entrants will be shared with Avis Budget Group, LLC. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Prize winners will be notified by email and will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release by 12/21/08 or the prizes will be forfeited and an alternate prize winner may be selected. Notification of prize winner status must be kept confidential until the prize winners are publicly revealed by Sponsor. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, modify or terminate the Contest. Further, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual deemed to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or any Sponsor website; (b) violating the Official Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any property or service, or (d) acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Contest Parties resulting from any user’s participation in or attempt to participate in the Contest, ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Contest, and the use or acceptance of any Contest prize. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Contest Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Contest: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Contest, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Contest, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the Contest. Sponsor and Contest Parties are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site. Use of Web Site is at user’s own risk. Sponsor and the Contest Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user’s or any other person’s computer equipment resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance or use of any Contest prize, use of the Web Site or the download of any information from the Web Site.

9. WHO WON? The first name and last initial of the winners and their winning entry will be posted at http://www.flipforbudget.com, starting on or about 4/15/08.

LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
