Absolutely, what a wonderful way to celebrate their family by returning to a place that held at one time such pain and this trip would help them heal ! Give it to them ! They certainly deserve it !

Thanks for the really fun interaction. My mom is still at it (she's 82!) and a couple of years ago she won $10,000! We saw the Defiance Ohio movie together--a lot like our family (except for the alcoholic father.) Here's the stars you forgot to give yourself :)
Travis, first of all, my apologies about the gender confusion--what is it that they say about assuming? The paisley wetsuit is about the funniest thing I've ever heard--after doing this for a few years, a cookout for 25 with the Bush's Baked Bean guy and dog (Jay and Duke) may be the most interesting prize we've won. At any rate, I would love to hear more about your mom--is she still living? if so, does she still do this? have you ever read 'the prize winner of defiance, ohio' (amazing, amazing book--you would most certainly love it)? also, come check out online-sweepstakes. com, especially if you ever get into any voting contests. a great, great group of people that are positive and helpful like you. Hey philman--I know that it is highly unusual, but I am not a brother, I am a sister! Yes, even though I live in the Bay Area, I am not, nor have I ever been, a man! Just had a real creative mom, who gave me the name at birth and I've been having to explain it ever since! She was a contester, by the way, so I grew up with it. We never knew what we would get for Christmas because it was always something she won. (Weirdest present I ever got--a paisley wetsuit--and this was in New Mexico with no body of water bigger than a puddle for miles!) That's why I have such a warm feeling for your family. Your kids will only be enriched by this experience. As for the flip, when they wrote to tell me I did not win the "best of the day," they said they were giving me a camera anyway, (personally, I think they are giving everyone a camera,) so no need to take it to the Supreme Court (though nice of you to offer!) I figure if I can't rate "best of the day" I am not being considered for the big prize. But the silver lining is--I can just enjoy this site now. It's fun to connect with other people in the contest community. I have a feeling we will all run into each other again in the future, so we might as well make it a friendly competition.

Ann, we are busted. Ouch. Thank you for exposing us to the world and giving us the single star that we really deserve. Some things that you and child services will never be able to prove: 1) These children are really slaves, and our home is a virtual sweat shop of 2-minute videos, day after day after day. 2) The kids hate making these videos; they have no fun at all, despite the smiles on their faces that you see. 3) We make sure that all the proceeds go toward the adults only, and that the kids don't receive any benefits from any prizes that we win; 4) We're family members of the judges of all video contests everywhere, meaning that no other entrants have a legitimate chance of winning. I'm glad that you caught us. If left unchecked, who knows what havoc we might have wreaked upon the world? Love, The Philman Family P.S. Looks like someone is trying to "out" people? Congrats on the other win! I watched it. Very, very cute poem and darling narration. You are finding a great way to supplement your income (and with 4 kids that is necessary, I'm sure!) There is nothing in the rules that says--don't enter if you have already won something. In fact, Budget has even invited professionals to enter this. They don't care who you are as long as they get a well done video out of it. Here's to a family working together and obviously having some fun.

I thought this was really cute. I can see you worked hard on this and your kids are adorable, but be prepared for lots of bad comments. There are some really bad sports on this site who think the way to win is to put others down. Undoubtably, the judges will not even read the losers comments, or if they do they will know where they are coming from. 5 stars from me--your competition who is not evil :)
