Are you kidding me, the video is great (obviously done on a "budget"-how apropos). The video aside, the tune itself is the gem here. "Budget" couldn't go wrong if this ran as a commercial for them. It's got charm, it's upbeat, and it has a catchy tune that you can't help but remember. I'd pick this one as the winner in a second even with the great competition from other presentations.
Mike. It's funny how you submitted a song first and then at least 3-4 came after. The alien, budget betty and wild west videos were good but yours really portrayed in a creative way "how you" travel on a budget. It's also funny that people keep attacking you even though you're not even within the top 10 in rankings. Someone must be threatened. 5 stars for you. Goodluck. Craig says hi.
there are a lot of the same comments from the same people, but it is true that the video portion needs to be a lot better. there are a lot of other better videos on here. you have a good song, but no visuals. sorry, but i would vote for others.

I have to agree with Craig I and would only add that the tune is what draws the listener to the "Budget" name. As a radio spot it is rock solid complete (edited to 30 or 60 secs.). What more would a company want then to have their name associated with the words "Oh, how I love it".
If he had an expensive camera, proper editing software, a crew and schooling on the subject matter it would help. I still feel the "video aspect" was great. It was definitely an original take on the assignment. A lot of songs came after yours; seems as though they liked your idea. Well done again Mike. We're still rooting for you.

Despite some truly wonderful entries this one stands out. The song itself is infectious and makes you want to stamp your feet and sing along. There is entertainment, information, and connection to the "Budget" name from start to finish. Hats off to you, Michael, on a job well done.
Been following this competition for quite some time as an observer. Everyone at the office is still rooting for you Mike.
I think this is another one of the top videos here. The song is catchy and the shots and editing are fun and quirky. This concept is a little overdone, but you did it well which makes it stand out.

The only thing that needs to be changed in this video is the price of the gas. Otherwise it contains all the elements necessary for a good commercial, "Oh, how I love it"!

This video and jingle is family friendly. My kids have been singing this ever since they watched it over 2 weeks ago. Great travel tips throughout! Honest, make sense ideas put to such a catchy tune is a winner!!!!

I've watched this competition since the beginning and this video was the first "music video." I don't know what you're talking about jordan. Michele and Dave look like fun people and their video is also a "music video," but they didn't do it first.

You have to tell me why, with the number of good videos being submitted, I still come back to yours. It must be that jingle ("Oh, how I love it")and certainly the overall presentation. From start to finish you keep me smiling and more importantly you keep me humming the tune. Since I started watching this competition I have noticed more Budget locations in our area that I never knew existed, places I'm sure I'll use at some point. In my opinion you've managed to associate your presentation more closely to the brand "Budget" then all the rest and that's hard to do with so many good videos. Good luck with the competition and thanks for the entertainment!

Michael, it's funny you made the ukulele/steel drum reference. One of those guys playing is also a really great steel drummer. Weird. I agree it's a happy instrument. It's so happy after we all returned home one of the guys bought a uke for himself. Instant addiction. Best of luck. It's (thankfully) almost over!

So what if he already won one contest? The kid's got talent. This is a great, catchy song with a well-made, thought-out, entertaining video -- and, unlike most of the other videos, it actually integrated both "traveling on a budget" tips AND an advertisement for Budget Rent-a-car. This could easily be cut down into two or three short commercials, and is catchy enough that people won't change the channel every time it comes on (c'mon, we all know "those" commercials).
Mike, My whole family is rooting for you. My kids love singin' this tune! Ignore the haters; we think you are doing a great job.
